Creative Director - Avira - Munich


Job description
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet Avira’s business objectives and that advance our brand strategy
Direct the creative vision and solutions of the company from concept through completion, ensuring the highest quality standards for print, digital, mobile and video applications
Ensure that projects are completed by the final delivery date, work is delegated to appropriate parties, following up to ensure creative work is accurate, on-time, and within budget
Create high-functioning relationships with stakeholders to develop a world class product
Coordinate execution of creative work across Avira
Collaborate to create powerful and elegant marketing strategies and ensure successful integration and execution of deliverables
Lead from the front in all areas (writing, producing, shooting and editing, ‘line’ level signoffs). Active UX-designer on the team
Preserve creative documents by developing means for archiving design work, developing an online library of designs that can be refreshed and reused across our business
You're responsible for creating, improving & extending designs for Avira’s websites and web apps
Work in close relationship with creative copywriters to provide concepts and flows for marketing campaigns as well as the Avira website
Drive your concepts through to completion with a dynamic team of designers front-end developers, product managers and campaign managers
Brainstorm, research, wireframe, design & refine user experiences - all within specified requirements & deadlines
Lead the completion and packaging of multiple types of deliverables, including wireframes, workflow diagrams, interactive demos, mockups and final designs
Develop and run usability sessions with key stakeholders and customers to get feedback
Toward the market: you ignite users interest in Avira, and encourage them to interact more with our free services and purchase our products
You explain complex content using comprehensible, imaginative techniques, and communicate our corporate strategy in a personable, convincing manner
Possess a direct and clean design sensibility befitting our brand, industry and heritage as one of Germany's most successful software companies
You create the design concepts for campaigns, products and our web sites. You will write the accompanying stub copy, and make suggestions for imagery to be used.

Desired Skills and Experience
7+ years' experience as a UX/UI designer, with at least 2-3 years leading other designers
You are a native German or English speaker, or have equivalent experience and fluency in either language
Track record of concepting and executing succesful online campaigns, consumer software, web-sites
You see things from the customer's point of view, communicating technical information in a way that customers immediately grok
You have exceptional style and can handle the full spectrum of media in which your design is used all the while staying on brand
Have agile project management skils, are entrepreneurial, self-driven & have excellent creativity
Proven trackrecord of designing successful high-volume “Web 2.0” style websites / web applications
User-centric design principles & have the ability to distill highly-complex user design issues into clean, understandable solutions
Solid understanding of adjacent functions-- e.g., copywriting, web development
