Position Summary:
The Director of Sales - Luxury Sales Market will be responsible for the following:

• The creation and deployment of a Commercial Strategy for his/her assigned area of responsibility, according to the overall Luxury Commercial strategy of the group.

• Driving revenue to the Luxury and Lifestyle brands maximising profit performance in all European Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels.



• Executing high level of account management according to the defined commercial strategy with the support of the relevant General Managers, Director of Business Development, and also of the ISOs teams, achieving targets and demonstrating value to both internal and external customers.

What will I be doing?

• Own the execution of the annual sales action plan covering all business segments.

• Develop individual action plans that specify short, medium and long term objectives with specific sales methods to support the defined account strategy.

• Obtain and analyse specific market intelligence and revises strategy accordingly.

• Manage a portfolio of selected accounts to optimize account penetration and gain in market share.

• Identify and evaluate potential actors in the Luxury sector, all entities with inbound or outbound business for our Luxury units in EU, through: the identification of opinion leaders, the level of influence and decision making power of contacts in the customer organisation.

• You will be accountable for the achievement of the given revenue goals - room revenue, ADR and C&E objectives.

• Take a leading role in representing the Luxury properties at agreed Luxury travel, product trade and consumer shows/events.

• Plan and conduct sales trips to the target accounts in the main feeder markets.

• Identify local partnerships and take advantage of all marketing opportunities offered by third parties (e.g. airlines, travel agents..).

• Implement specific marketing initiatives to help drive business in conjunction and under the guidelines of brand marketing.

• Work closely with the General Managers and the commercial teams of the European Luxury hotels.

• Coordinate with existing on-property sub account handlers for maximum efficiency.

• Support the Luxury hotels in the Commercial Focus workgroups for short term initiatives and course corrections.

• Network with the Hilton Worldwide Sales teams and the Hilton field sales teams building strong relationships in key feeder markets

• Monitor and provide accurate management reports showing performance, on a quarterly basis, along with relevant issues, opportunities and successes.

Required Qualifications/Experience

• University degree or experience in lieu thereof

• Significant experience within the hospitality/hotel industry in a customer facing, revenue generating role

• International experience working in multi-cultural and/or international setting

• Account management knowledge and proven track record

• In-depth knowledge of the Luxury sector, high-end clientele’s customs and etiquette

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English and a minimum of one additional language (German would be very beneficial. French would also be advantageous)

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. There will be at least one business trip per week.

• Must have, or be able to obtain, all necessary documents required to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

• Experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, personal computers and software programs. Proficiency with standard Microsoft office tools
